Milltown Cycles Presents the 9th Annual Northfield Criterium, July 4th
Note: We are still looking for volunteers to help with course marshalling. It's a great way to watch the race. Please contact Sean Noonan if you have a few hours that day to help!
Milltown Cycles is proud to be organizing the 9th Annual Northfield Criterium on July 4, 2008. This is a cycling race that will showcase the best riders of Minnesota and the Midwest. The course is a short, but extremely fast, lap through downtown that racers do for a given period of time, from 30 to 70 minutes. Racers will hit speeds of up to 40 miles per hour, with averages above 25mph. Come and watch this fast and exciting race!
This course is among the favorites of the Minnesota racers. The races will progressively become more competitive as the day goes on, capping the excitement with the Category 1 / 2 racers, among the best amateurs in the country.
There is also a Kids Bicycle Parade and Fun Race that is free to all kids under 10 (helmets required). In addition, Northfield will be having a July 4th celebration in Bridge Square all day with concerts and concessions…Please stop down and enjoy!
