DJJD 2008: Photos from "Townie Night"
One of my favorite things about the Defeat of Jesse James Days is the Thursday night "Townie Night" festivities. Even before my kids were old enough to take advantage of the unlimited-ride wristband bargain, it was always a great night to see so many friends and neighbors downtown celebrating.
As always, I had my camera with me last night and took a few shots of the carnival. And as always, I'm now encouraging you to send in your own photos of this weekend's festivities.
Remember, Northfield.org is your website, and our 9,800-strong photo gallery is your community photo gallery. Everything we publish is created by the citizens of Northfield, for the benefit of the citizens of Northfield.
Check out the 888 DJJD photos from previous years:
Please share your photos with the community by emailing them to pictures@northfield.org. Thanks!

Additional community art photos
ArtOrg is also a community group which documents its activities: we have 3000 photos grouped in 100 photosets.
Here is a link to all our photos.
The photoservice we both use is called Flickr, and you can do many neat things with it. For example, here is a map of Northfield and all its sculptures that we finished recently.
And here is a third-party "widget" that aggregates some random photos along with the number of photos, contacts and photosets we have:
