Ice Cream Social to Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Lonsdale School House (On the National Register of Historic Places)

Saturday, June 21, 2008 from Noon-3:00 pm @ Lonsdale’s Old Public School House, South of Hwy 19 on 3rd Ave in Lonsdale. This is a rain or shine event!

  • 1:00 Domaci Czech Dancers Children’s Group
  • 1:30 17 year old author Victoria Kasten; Question & Answer session
  • 2:30 Ben Dvorak – Singing
• Kids Activities
• Silent Auction (including doiles, kid’s model tow truck, alpaca yarn & items, specially autographed books from Victoria Kasten commemorating the event, and much more….)
• Tours of the School throughout the afternoon – See an old fashioned school room and many local history items!

This event will be hosted by the Wheatland Wheaties 4H Club, along with the 3R Landmark Group. All proceeds raised will go toward the painting and care of the schoolhouse.
