Volunteers sought for First Steps Early Literacy Center at the Library

It's time to gather volunteers for the fall session of First Steps. First Steps is a parent or caregiver-directed activity center where toddlers and preschoolers are surrounded by alphabet manipulatives, concept books, board books and puzzles, all designed to be a fun learning experience. Volunteers are needed to monitor the room and keep it fun and safe.
Duties include:
- enthusiasm to promote early literacy!
- set up toys and books in the 1st Steps area of the meeting room
- welcome children & adults as they come in
- guide patrons to appropriate toys & books
- bring your children/grandchildren with you!
- split time with a friend
- easy and short training included!
- background check required
Volunteers work 2 hour shifts:
- Mondays 10 am-12 pm
- Fridays 10 am– 12 pm
- Saturdays 10 am –12 pm
