Weekend Happenings Oct. 16-19, 2008

NEG Oct 2008 This Thursday ChARTdonnay is happening at the ArtOnWater gallery from 5-8. At the Sesquicentennial Legacy Plaza there is a Harvest Art Dedication at 5:30. Susan B. Woods is doing a dance show at 7 p.m. at Dittmann Center in Wagner/Bundgaard Studio One at St. Olaf. Scandium is playing The Contented Cow at 8 and The Tavern Lounge is hosting Mark Mraz.

On Friday Rafael Campo is leading a Convocation from 10:50-11:50 at Carleton. Also at Carleton there is a Visiting Speaker at 3:30 in Mudd room 73. There is an Exhibit Opening Reception from 6-9 at the Northfield Arts Guild. The Rocky Horror Show is being performed at the Northfield Arts Guild Theater at 7:30. The Iliad is being performed in Concert Hall at Carleton at 7:30. The Japanese Animation Festival is happening at ArtOrg at 7:30. Tom Franek is playing The Contented Cow and The Tavern Lounge is hosting Lonesome Dan Kase.

On Saturday the Laura Baker Gala is beginning at 5 p.m. at Carleton’s Great Hall. There is an Exhibit Opening Reception at Grezzo Gallery from 5-9 p.m. The Rocky Horror Show is being performed again at 7:30. Bonnie and the Clydes are playing The Contented Cow and Anthony Newes is playing The Tavern Lounge.

On Sunday at The Contented Cow there is Quiz Night at 4, Politics and a Pint at 6, and Northern Roots Session at 7:30.
